Katharine's desire to develop a career in the media, meant that she started preparing for it whilst still an Athlete, enjoying writing her own regular first person column for The Telegraph (Sport) and gaining as much experience as she could behind the microphone and in front of the camera.

Post retirement she has enjoyed balancing hosting and stadium commentary roles with a variety of broadcasting roles including:

Olympic Games  -  2016 - BBC coverage including BBC Breakfast TV and BBC 5 Live, BBC Radio 4.

2008 & 2012 Olympics:  BBC Radio 5 Live covering Athletics, Triathlon, Pentathlon & Beach Volleyball.  2011/2012:  BBC Radio 5 Live,  Co-host of London Calling (regular show covering all Olympic sports).

World Athletics Championships   -  2011 - Channel 4 Lead Commentator.    2013 / 2015 IAAF TV & Radio lead commentator.  2017: IAAF TV lead commentator for London World Championships.         

BBC 5 Live athletics lead commentator. First female to do this role. 2022 - present.    

BBC 5 Live Sport FOOTBALL reporter - Dec 2019 - present.                              

Commonwealth Games - 2022: Lead Athletics and Netball commentator for host broadcaster worldwide TV inc BBC coverage. 2018: Lead Athletics Commentator BBC TV. BBC TV first ever Lead female Commentator in Athletics. 2010 & 2014:  BBC trackside Reporter (2010) & Lead Athletics Commentator (2014) for host broadcaster worldwide TV feed inc. BBC coverage.

European Athletics Championships -  2022: Lead commentator for BBC 5 Live. 2010: BBC 5 Live Trackside Reporter.

World Indoor Athletics Championships -  2022: BBC 5 Live Lead commentator. 2016:  IAAF TV Lead Commentator. Worldwide feed inc. BBC coverage.

PARALYMPICS, IPC World & European Athletics Championships -  2011 - Present:   Channel 4 Lead Commentator, including Paralympics Tokyo 2020, Rio 2016 and London 2012. Lyon, Swansea, Doha, Grosseto and the London 2017 World Championships.

NETBALL, Live Super League and England/International games -  2015 - Present:  Sky Sports Lead Commentator and reporter. BBC TV solo reporter at the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa. BBC 5 Live lead commentator.

FIVB VOLLEYBALL - 2019. Lead and solo commentator for worldwide broadcast of the FIVB circuit.

Great North Run / Birmingham / Manchester / Great South Runs    - 2021 GNR and Manchester Run lead comms Worldwide feed, 2019 & 2018 Great South Run Lead Commentator Channel 5. 2018 & 2017: Great Birmingham 10k Lead Commentator Channel 5.  2009 - 2015:   Channel 5 Presenter.

Great City Games - 2015:    BBC TV first female Lead Commentator in Athletics.

Channel 4 - 2015 + 2016:     Brighton, Yorkshire & Manchester Marathon, Presenter/Reporter. 2017: Yorkshire Marathon presenter/reporter.

Channel 4 - 2016:     Manchester Half Marathon, Presenter.

ESPN - 2016. Lead live commentator for 1st ever Tracktown Summer Series Meet. Eugene, USA.  2017: Lead live commentator for Tracktown Summer Series final, New York, USA.

Regular commentary for Eurosport and appearances on BBC 5 Live Fighting Talk.  Guest host on BBC 5 Live Shows as well as appearances on celebrity based shows including BBC Celebrity Pointless, ITV Ninja Warrior UK, BBC Celebrity Mastermind, BBC A Question of Sport, BBC Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and Total Wipeout.
